Gnabry joins West Brom
West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of winger Serge Gnabry from Arsenal on a season-long loan.Chelsea have had a £17.7million bid for Augsburg full-back Baba Rahman rejected, according to reports.
“I’m very delighted by the move,” Gnabry, who is a Germany U21 international told the Albion website.
“I see the opportunity that I can play, it’s a good club and I’ve heard good things. I’m very happy that I’ve signed here.
"I’ve got good impressions and I feel it’s a good environment for me to play and also develop as a player.”
Albion manager Tony Pulis said: “We’re delighted to add Serge to our options. He is a top player and he will bring us quality in certain areas of the pitch.”
Gnabry joined Arsenal from VfB Stuttgart in 2011, making his debut in the League Cup against Coventry City in 2012. He has played 19 times, scoring once in a league game at Swansea City in 2013.
Man Utd winning De Gea battle so Florentino Perez will go to war next week, Arsenal are excited about Benzema but not excited enough to actually make a bid...
Manchester United and Real Madrid are still said to be £10million apart in their valuation of David De Gea.
The Mail on Sunday claims Real will make an offe rof £25million this week, but United are holding out for closer to £35million. Louis van Gaal said yesterday that United have to pay top whack for their targets and they should expect to receive the same for their top players. And he's right...
If or when De Gea does go, Jasper Cillessen remains Van Gaal's choice to replace the Spaniard, though the Ajax stopper's price is increasing by the week, according to The Sunday Star.
United also hope that any deal for De Gea would make Real more open to discussing a move for Gareth Bale, reports the Sunday Express. All the noises coming out of Old Trafford this summer suggests they want the world's best and they certainly need some creativity and flair in attack. Bale ticks every box, though whether he or Real can be talked into it remains a different matter.
DOUBLE BID AS EVERTON SET STONES PRICE
Everton have launched a double bid to sign Xherdan Shaqiri and Argentina defender Ramiro Funes Miro.
The Express says Roberto Martinez wants Shaqiri on loan from Inter Milan, while negotiations are ongoing with River Plate over Miro.
Martinez needs reinforcements in central defence following the exits of Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz, while John Stones continues to be linked with Chelsea. The Star claims Stones will be allowed to leave, but only for £34million.
SILVA LINED UP FOR GUNNERS
Arsene Wenger might be playing very cool over Karim Benzema, but the Arsenal boss is reportedly keen to snare another Real Madrid talent.
Midfielder Lucas Silva is reportedly a target for the Gunners, with United and Chelsea also sniffing, apparently. The 22-year-old rejected Arsenal to join Real in January from Cruzeiro for a reported fee of £9.7m, but it seems the Brazilian has already had enough.
Given United and Chelsea's name have casually been chucked into the mix too, it smells like an agent trying to stir the pot of steaming-hot bulls**t.
