Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has named three uncapped players on his 18-man squad of foreign-based professionals for a 2017 AFCON qualifier against Tanzania next month.

AfricanFootball.com takes a closer look at the new boys and what they could bring to the team.

Carl Ikeme: Wolverhampton Wanderers, Goalkeeper

Carl Ikeme is one of the new players called up by Oliseh even  though he was first invited by Nigeria in 2007 by Berti Vogts, but he never got the chance to feature for the native country of his father.

The 29-year-old shot stopper has been consistent for his English Championship team, but he has often battled against injuries.

However, his qualities are not in doubt and should now take his place as cover for Vincent Enyeama especially as Austin Ejide has yet to sort out his club future.
