Adebayor set for West Ham medical on Sunday
Deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, the Togo international, who has one year left on his £100,000-a-week contract, is expected to have a medical on Sunday according to Telegraph Sport.
Very close to joining the Hammers last January, the 31-year-old’s move to Upton Park was ultimately blocked by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in the closing hours of the transfer window.
However, Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino made it clear his desire to offload the former Arsenal and Manchester City hitman this summer.
Heavily linked with a reunion with former manager Tim Sherwood at Aston Villa a few weeks ago, Adebayor will more than likely be remaining in the English capital with Hammers coach Slaven Bilic desperate to boost his attacking options.
