Dele Alli eager for EPL debut at White Hart Lane
The Nigerian-born ace made his debut during last weekend in 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford as a late substitute.
“I can’t wait for my first home game! It will be amazing to experience the atmosphere created by all the Tottenham fans - obviously they were great at Old Trafford last week but I’m really excited to finally go out and play at home with everyone right behind the team," the 19-year-old told the club's official website.
“I’ve been to a few games at White Hart Lane before to watch matches, but it’d be amazing to play there. It’s up to the gaffer if I play or not, but I’ll be working as hard as I can on and off the pitch so that if he calls upon me I’m ready.”
Alli also revealed that he has spoken to several of his colleagues about last season's disappointing results against Stoke and vowed to do everything in his power to ensure that Spurs can secure all three points this weekend.
“A couple of the boys have spoken about the previous results against Stoke so we want to make that right this weekend,” he said.
“We’ll take each game as it comes and we’re going to work hard, put our all into it and do as well as we can.”
