LIVERPOOL MISS OUT ON DIGNELong-term Liverpool target Lucas Digne finally looks set to end speculation over his future - by signing for Roma.

The PSG left-back has been tipped to move to Anfield for several months, with Alberto Moreno and Jose Enrique failing to impress Brendan Rodgers thus far.

However, Digne, who has played just 30 times for the French champions since moving in 2013, will sign for Roma on loan according to the Daily Mail.

RAHMAN DEAL NEAR
Chelsea's pursuit of Baba Rahman seems to be coming to a conclusion, with the Ghanaian close to signing for the club.

The Augsburg defender is set to sign in a deal worth over £20m, and the deal could be completed as early as today according to various sources.

After a brilliant 2014/15 campaign for the Bundesliga side, Rahman topped WhoScored's list of the highest rated U21s in Europe's top five leagues.

BOLASIE OFFERED NEW DEAL
With Dwight Gayle seemingly on his way out of Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace are making a big effort to keep star man Yannick Bolasie.

According to the Daily Mail, boss Alan Pardew has offered a new deal to the winger in an attempt to 'ward off interest' from Liverpool and Tottenham, and is hopeful Bolasie will agree by the end of the month.

PALACE ACCEPT GAYLE BID
Pardew said last week he'd be willing to let Gayle leave if the right bid came in.

Sky are now reporting that newly-promoted Championship side Bristol City have had a £6m bid for Gayle accepted, which could rise to £8m with incentives. Eight million pounds sterling.

One can only imagine Pardew's grin in the next presser.

SPURS HOPEFUL OF N'JIE DEAL
More on something we brought you earlier regarding Tottenham's pursuit of Lyon striker Clinton N'Jie.

Mauricio Pochettino is 'confident of securing a move' for the 21-year-old, according to ESPN, who scored seven goals for Lyon last season.

The deal could signal the end for Spurs duo Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor, who are reportedly being offered to several clubs across Europe.

TRAORE TO CHOOSE VILLA?
Having been linked to virtually everyone in Europe, Adama Traore is now close to signing for Aston Villa - according to a Spanish report.

AS believe the 19-year-old will rebuff the advances of Stoke and Liverpool, and instead sign a three-year deal at Villa Park.

Speaking of Traore, have a read of this morning's Mediawatch which features the man himself.

NO UTD BID FOR BIGLIA
Despite various newspapers claiming Manchester United had agreed a deal to sign Lucas Biglia, our chums at Sky Sports have moved quickly to rubbish the reports.

United are reportedly content with their midfield options following the signings of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, meaning Lazio's Biglia is one to cross off the wishlist.

We all knew it made little sense, anyway...

BARCA STRUGGLING TO SELL SONG
After a successful loan spell at West Ham, Alex Song was seemingly a target for several Premier League clubs - but reports suggest Barcelona are finding it tricky to ship the midfielder off.

Catalan newspaper Sport reckons Barca are looking to recoup their £12.7m fee spent to lure him from Arsenal, but are struggling due to West Ham's lack of interest in the Cameroonian.

Despite talking up the chance of moving to a top six club, it's an ever-increasing possibility that Song spends next season on Barca's fringes.

VALBUENA RETURNS TO FRANCE
French newspaper L'Equipe reports that Dynamo Moscow's Mathieu Valbuena will join Lyon on Tuesday - a year after leaving Marseille.

TalkSPORT claim the 30-year-old has turned down Newcastle and West Ham in the process, and will pen a three-year contract with Les Gones after a £3m fee was agreed.

The transfer of the 5ft 4in midfielder gives us the opportunity to go to your favourite image search engine, type in 'Valbuena Fellaini Kompany' and be presented with one of football's great pictures.

UNITED PLANNING DOUBLE BID
A big, shiny, sparkly article from the Metro claims Manchester United are planning to sign Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze and Schalke's Julian Draxler.

They've sourced the story from Italian newspaper Tuttosport, who reckon that Louis van Gaal will use his 'amicable relationship' with Bayern to force through a deal for Gotze, while the Draxler stuff is quite clearly the work of agent Roger Wittmann, who linked his client Roberto Firmino with various clubs this summer.

Forgive the cynical tone.

MADRID IMPATIENT OVER DE GEA
It's another day and another twist in the David De Gea tale, with Real Madrid reportedly submitting a final £21.2m bid for the Manchester United goalkeeper.

That's according to the Daily Star and the Mirror - well, not really as they're both quoting ABC news, who claim the Spanish side have issued some sort of ultimatum to United. In no way whatsoever does that sound like Jorge Mendes is getting itchy feet...

Regardless, it does seem like De Gea has no future at Old Trafford after missing Saturday's win over Tottenham, with the report suggesting that Madrid are happy to wait until next summer to get their man. His contract, as we all know, will have expired by that time.

SPURS TARGET SEVERAL STRIKERS

Having drawn a blank in Saturday's defeat, Tottenham are considering bringing in another striker before the window closes - with West Brom's Saido Berahino and United's Javier Hernandez on the club's shortlist.

The London Evening Standard reckon Spurs are 'confident of bringing at least one of them in', but will face competition from London rivals West Ham for Hernandez's signature.

Berahino, meanwhile, is on £15,000 a week and will treble his wages if he moves to White Hart Lane, which is an increasing possibility following Salomon Rondon's move to the Hawthorns.

Not only are those two on Spurs' shortlist, but the Daily Telegraph says Lyon's pacy frontman Clinton N'Jie is another target, while FC Basel's 18-year-old Swiss striker Breel Embolo is being watched, according to the Mirror.

LIVERPOOL TO SELL LUCAS

The Liverpool Echo reports the news that the Reds are willing to listen to offers for Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva.

Having missed Sunday's win at Stoke City, the Echo believes Lucas is now considering a move to Italy after being 'crestfallen by the snub'. Lucas and Martin Skrtel are the only remaining players from the Rafa Benitez era. Brings a tear to the eye.
