UCL wrap: Barca edge Leverkusen, Porto beat Chelsea, Arsenal lose to Olympiakos, Bayern run riot
Barcelona suffered a scare, Porto beat Chelsea,
Arsenal went down to Olympiakos, BATE edged Roma, while Bayern Munich
ran riot in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
European champions Barca needed two late goals to oust
Bayer Leverkusen 2-1. Kyriakos Papadopoulos drew first blood at Camp
Nou, but Sergi Roberto and Luis Suarez hit back inside the final 10 minutes.Jose Mourinho's Chelsea were defeated 2-1 at his former club FC Porto. Andre Andre and Maicon struck either side of Willian's superb free-kick on the stroke of half-time.
Arsenal were foiled in a five-goal thriller with Olympiakos at the Emirates Stadium. The visitors prevailed via an own goal from goalkeeper David Ospina and strikes from Felipe Pardo and Alfred Finnbogason, while Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez were on target for the Gunners.
Belrusian side BATE held on to beat Roma 3-2 after being 3-0 up at the break. Filip Mladenovic hit a brace after an early opener by Igor Stasevich. Roma reduced the deficit through Gervinho and Vasilios Torosidis.
Bayern thrashed Dinamo Zagreb 5-0, with in-form striker Robert Lewandowski plundering a hat-trick to go with goals from Douglas Costa and Mario Goetze at the Allianz Arena.
