Iheanacho missing as Oliseh recall Mikel, Victor Moses Ighalo.

Nigeria recall Mikel, Victor Moses
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh Omitted the name of in form enfant terribel Kelechi Iheanacho but recalled Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo and Ogenyi Onazi for two friendly matches against Cameroon and Congo next month.

Mikel, for one, last played for Nigeria in November 2014 against South Africa in Uyo, while the non-invitation of Watford star Ighalo was widely criticised.

Oliseh also dropped Haruna Lukman, who flopped against Tanzania in a 2017 AFCON qualifier, and recuperating Izunna Uzochukwu who got injured in the same game but has just returned to training.

Mikel was dropped from the first squad announced under Oliseh's era due to communication gap, Moses was left out due to 'small' injury and Onazi was not listed due to suspension after his dismissal against Chad in June.

Nigeria face Congo on October 8 and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon three days later in Belgium, as the Nigeria Football Federation ensure a more cohesive national team within a short.

The winners of the preliminary round between Swaziland and Djibouti will host the Super Eagles on November 9 in a 2018 FIFA World Cup first round qualifier, with the Eagles hosting the return leg in Nigeria eight days later.

All invited players are expected to arrive in Belgium on Monday, October 5.
