Pellegrini Hails Iheanacho’s Heroics Against Roma
Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini, has hailed Kelechi
Iheanacho’s brilliant performance against Roma in the International
Champions Cup match on Tuesday.
Iheancho provided an assist for new signing, Raheem Sterling, who opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, before getting on the score sheet himself on 51st minutes in the game which ended 2-2.
City went on to win 5-4 on penalty shootout after Joe Hart converted the decisive spot kick.
Reacting after the match on Manchester City’s twitter handle, Pellegrini stated that the highlight of the game for him was the performance of Iheanacho and another youngster, Manu Garcia.
“I think that the big positive was to see two players like Manu Garcia and Kelechi, they had very good performances,” Pellegrini remarked happily.
