Falconets Beat South Africa, Qualify For Eighth Consecutive World Cup
The Falconets have qualified for their eighth consecutive Fifa Under 20 Women’s World Cup courtesy of a 3 - 1 aggregate victory over South Africa’s Basetsana on Sunday afternoon at the Makhulong Stadium.

In the second leg, Chinwendu Ihezuo scored the match - winner for Nigera in the 16th minute, firing home a cross from the right wing.

Kanu and Ihezuo had decent opportunities to increase the lead but were unlucky not to bury their chances, and the scoreline stayed 1 - 0 until the final whistle.

The Falconets thrashed Liberia 14 - 1 on aggregate before seeing off Democratic Republic of Congo 4 - 1 in the second round of qualifiers.

The 2016 Women’s World Cup will be held in Papua New Guinea from 28 October to 16 November.
