Liverpool confirm Jurgen Klopp appointment
Liverpool have confirmed the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as their new manager.
The German has reportedly signed a three-year deal with
the Reds, replacing Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked after the Merseyside
Derby last Sunday.The club has already removed assistant coach Sean O'Driscoll and first-team coach Gary McAllister, who has been offered another role within the club, while head of opposition analysis Chris Davies and head of performance Glen Driscoll have also been relieved of their duties as the Reds prepare for a technical overhaul.
Klopp will bring in his former Borussia Dortmund assistants Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz to complement his backroom staff.
The German coach won two Bundesiliga titles with Dortmund and reached the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final, where they lost to Bayern Munich.
