OSCAR OUT, VALENCIA IN?
Man City are set to make a £30m bid for Raheem Sterling, Man United are to beat Liverpool to Sami Khedira, whileMan City are prepared to sell Yaya Toure and five other stars but apparently want Danny Rose, while Man Utd lead the Danny Ings race and Liverpool could lose Martin Skrtel.
Oscar seems to have fallen into a very easy trap at Chelsea. As with Willian, Jose Mourinho has stripped away some creativity in order to turn his attacking midfielders into all-running, high-intensity workers. This has made Oscar a worse player.
Having been bought for £25m, Oscar now seems to have fallen slightly out of favour at Stamford Bridge. Basically Eden Hazard does all the creating and Diego Costa does all the finishing; the rest have become glorified facilitators.
The Daily Mirror report that Juventus are the favourites to sign Oscar, with Enner Valencia his replacement at Stamford Bridge. If signing a West Ham forward with four Premier League goals this season doesn't make much sense, this will probably persuade you: 'Valencia has also impressed with his versatility, pace and work-rate.' Hard work, you see.
