Barcelona dump Real Sociedad out of Copa del Rey .

Barcelona made short work of Real Sociedad, thrashing them 5-2 in the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final clash to advance to the next round 6-2 on aggregate.
Denis Suarez opened the scoring in the 17th minute with Lionel Messi making it 2-0 on the night 10 minutes after the break.

Juanmi pulled one back in the 62nd minute before Luis Suarez restored their two-goal cushion. Willian Jose brought it back to 3-2 before Arda Turan (80') and Denis Suarez (82') both netted to secure an emphatic 5-2 win.
Barcelona began the match in the ascendancy after winning the first leg 1-0 away from home and looked by far the more comfortable of the two sides in the opening exchanges.

It came as no surprise when Suarez netted in the 17th minute to put the home side 2-0 up on aggregate.

What was slightly more perplexing was that it took until the 55th minute for them to double their lead on the night, through Messi from the penalty spot.

The home side battled back well and Juanmi gave them a brief glimmer of hope when he pulled a goal back in the 62nd minute, but less than 60 seconds later, Suarez made it 3-1 on the night.

Willian Jose pulled another goal back in the 73rd minute, but a late push forward from the Catalans secured their spot in the next round with Turan scoring in the 80th minute before Suarez made it 5-2 on the night and 6-2 on aggregate.
