Super
Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has admitted that he is worried
about his goal-shy strikers in the wake of the national team’s slim
1-0 victory over Tanzania on Saturday. We may have to weigh our options up front. we created a lot of chances but failed to convert till 78th Minute when Kelechi Iheanacho who played as an attacking midfileder scored a wonderful goa.
“I am happy we played well and created so many chances. What we have to improve on is how to convert those chances,” Rohr said in his post match comments, according to thenff.com.
The former Bayern Munich defender has less than a month to change his tactics attacking-wise, ahead of the World Cup qualifier with Zambia in the first week of October.
The Super Eagles averaged 0.5 goals per game during the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
