Sheyi Ojo vows to be better player at Wolves

Sheyi Ojo vows to be better player at Wolves
Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo has vowed to build on his performance for Wolves against Newport County in a League Cup tie.

Ojo started for the first time against Newport and made an assist for Wolves to win 2-1 after playing as a late substitute in league opener against Blackburn Rovers.

“It was a great win for us and hopefully we can push forward and have the same results,” Ojo said.

“I thought it was a good game. It was my first game and hopefully I can improve as the season goes on, keep getting better and add some goals as well.

“It’s a great stadium and the fans are amazing. It was a really happy moment for me. I’m happy to have made my home debut and I’m looking forward to the next game.”

He added: “They kept a good structure and made it hard for us to break through them. But luckily we got the first goal and then we started our momentum from there.

“We have got a great team with good attacking options; we’re always going to create chances, and we were able to take two of them.”
