Family member say they will carry out an autopsy on Stephen Keshi, says he did not die of heart attack

Rickey Aburime, a member of Stephen Keshi family, say they will carry out an autopsy on the remains of the former Super Eagles Coach who died today June 8th. Rickey debunked media reports of Keshi dying from an heart attack. He stated that Keshi was meeting some friends and family members at his Benin City resident when he suddenly fell sick. it took less than 15 minutes to rush him to the hospital after the crisis started but that he died just before he got to the hospital.
“All of a sudden, they that noticed his countenance changed and he was not okay. The person with him called Ebuka and they rushed him to the hospital. He was dead by the time they got to the hospital. A nurse that checked him said there was no pulse.
Doctors later confirmed him dead. After the confirmation, as he was not a patient of the hospital, they could not write any report or present any death certificate. They said we must bring the police report and the police came to inspect the body. I am about to take the corpse to Stella Obasanjo hospital pending the autopsy which the family want to do. Dr. Wilson Akhiwu will conduct the autopsy. There is no official statement as to the cause of death. There will be no embalming. It was sudden and we don’t want anybody to speculate. There was no sign of ill health and Keshi has not complained of anything recently.”

Nigeria U23s Pipped By South Korea At Suwon Tourney
Nigeria U23s Pipped By South Korea At Suwon Tourney

The Samson Siasia tutored side lost at the Suwon World Cup Stadium thanks to Choi Kyubaek’s 86th minute winner.

The Nigerian team were looking to start the tournament on a good footing, by winning or grabbing a draw, but that was not to be as their hosts proved too strong for them.

Coach Siasia named a strong squad with Emmanuel Daniel and Usman Mohammed starting.

The likes of Saturday Erimuya and Erhun Obanor marshaled the defense line, and the belief was that the team was going to get something from the game.

The Dream Team started the game on a frantic note and were by far the better side in the opening 20 minutes of the game, but failed to convert their chances.

Choi Kyubaek broke their hearts with the late strike and the hosts managed to hold on until the final whistle.

Dream Team Starting XI vs South Korea: Daniel, Seth, Obanor, Saturday, Amuzie, Usman, Saviour, Azubuike, Dimgba, Ekpai, Awoniyi

Reserves: Yusuf, Emmanson, Ndifreke, Popoola, Tiongoli, Nath, Emiloju, Abdulrahman.

Hull City Confirm Chuba Akpom Has Returned To Arsenal
Hull City Confirm Chuba Akpom Has Returned To Arsenal
English Premier League newcomers Hull City have confirmed that Chuba Akpom will return to parent club Arsenal following the end of his loan spell at the KC Stadium.

The England youth-teamer had sent a message to the Tigers faithful  via social media shortly after they gained promotion to the topflight, and the club have now revealed that they will not acquire his rights from the Gunners.

The 20-year-old Akpom played 41 times for Hull City last term, and weighed in with seven goals.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko will have to seek pastures new in the forthcoming season as he has not been offered a new contract.

 Morata for Arsenal?

Alvaro Morata Football365

For a striker with just 38 goals across 145 games for Real Madrid and Juventus, Alvaro Morata sure is a striker in demand. Valuations of the Spaniard have reached up to £50million, and a number of clubs have been linked. On Tuesday, he stoked such rumours by claiming that the Premier League would be “a great destination” for him.
John Cross of the Daily Mirror takes such a quote and furthers the claims over his future. He reports that Morata’s comments have ‘sparked an auction between Arsenal and Chelsea’ for his services.
Cross adds that Morata is Arsene Wenger’s ‘No 1 transfer target’, with the club looking to sign a true elite centre forward in order to build a title challenge. Replacing Olivier Giroud, with 82 goals in 188 games for Arsenal, with a forward who has scored just a goal just under every four games over the past four seasons, seems a tad ingenuous.
As for the link to Chelsea, it makes some sort of sense. The club are in desperate need of additions in the striking department, with only Diego Costa likely to remain beyond the summer.

SPURRED ON
Elsewhere in the world of European strikers being linked to the Premier League, Tottenham want Alexandre Lacazette.
Unlike Morata, Lacazette’s goal record is rather impressive. The Lyon striker has scored 76 goals in 137 games across the past three seasons in France, and has attracted interest from afar. It is Cross of the Mirror again who has first reported Tottenham’s temptation.
Cross says that Tottenham have opened talks with ‘representatives’ of the 25-year-old, and must beat competition from West Ham and Paris Saint-Germain to sign him.
The stumbling block could be the price. Tottenham will offer £24m, but Lyon want £30m. It is a small price to pay if it means Harry Kane can rest those weary legs a little more.

AND AGAIN
And elsewhere in the world of strikers being linked to Tottenham, Troy Deeney is a ‘shock’ target over at White Hart Lane.
According to Paul Jiggins of The Sun, Watford striker Deeney is on the club’s ‘final wish-list’ of summer transfer targets.
Jiggins admits that Deeney is not the club’s main transfer target, with that man apparently being Michy Batshuayi of Marseille, but that his work-rate has impressed Mauricio Pochettino. The 27-year-old captain would actually make a logical choice for Tottenham, as he would surely be willing to play second fiddle to Kane if Champions League football was on offer.

AND THE REST
Tottenham want Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan after he called off contract renewal talks…Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel will be offered the chance to stay in the Premier League by Middlesbrough…Middlesbrough may not be able to keep loan star Gaston Ramirez, who looks set to be heading back to Uruguay to join Penarol…Timothy Fosu-Mensah is the third Manchester United youngster to be handed a new contract…Southampton have talked to the agent of Sporting Lisbon defender Ruben Semedo over a potential £12million move…Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has warned Brighton they will have to pay £2.5million for striker Glenn Murray…Everton are the first Premier League club to show an interest in Monchi after it emerged the highly-regarded sporting director of Sevilla could leave the La Liga club…Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is set to lose his No.2 Fabio Pecchia, who is wanted by Verona…Garry Monk will be offered the chance to become Leeds United manager after the Championship club confirmed the departure of Steve Evans…Roberto Di Matteo is the new Aston Villa manager and expects to be in place within 48 hours.

WHERE WILL JUAN MATA PLAY NEXT SEASON?

Juan Mata
MATA TO BARCELONA?
The Mail’s transfer man Simon Jones is at pains to make it clear that Juan Mata has no problems with Jose Mourinho – despite suggestions that he would dread the arrival of the new Manchester United manager – and ‘is excited at the prospect of a fresh challenge at Old Trafford and is ready to put in extra work over the summer to prove his worth’. So thanks for the story, Juan Mata’s agent.
But he also throws in an interesting nugget, that Barcelona are looking at Mata as a potential replacement for Arda Turan. As the Turk is very much on the fringes of the Barcelona squad, you would wonder just how much football that would entail for Mata. Maybe he should just re-join Chelsea instead?

CHAMBERS BACK TO SAINTS?
‘Southampton are ready to offer former academy ace Calum Chambers a refuge from his Arsenal hell,’ says the Daily Mirror. Hell? Really?
Anyway, looking past the ridiculously emotive language, the Mirror claims that the England international right-back/centre-half could return to the south coast on loan next season after starting just two Premier League games for Arsenal last season; to put that in perspective, Alex Iwobi played twice as many minutes of league football.
Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Swansea and Watford are also said to be interested in Chambers, but Southampton – who can offer Europa League football – are the favourites after Ronald Koeman apparently sent scouts to watch him at the Toulon tournament.

GREALISH FOR STOKE?
Or Tottenham or Everton. But it is Stoke who have apparently ‘registered an interest’ in the Aston Villa midfielder who has been impressing for England’s Under-21s at the Toulon tournament. Grealish. According to the Daily Telegraph: ‘(Mark) Hughes expects to be without Ibrahim Afellay for the rest of the year after the Dutchman suffered a knee ligament injury and Grealish would appeal as Stoke attempt to bring in more British players ahead of next season.’

AND THE REST
Sunderland are ready to make a £10m move for West Ham forward Diafra Sakho, which would re-unite the Senegal international with former Hammers’ boss Sam Allardyce…Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone wants to bring Chelsea forward Diego Costa back for a second spell at the Vicente Calderon Stadium…West Ham United will not entertain the idea of selling defender Reece Oxford, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all interested in the 17-year-old…Sunderland have no plans to sell England Under-21 goalkeeper Jordan Pickford despite interest from Manchester United…Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is a target for Premier League club…Southampton are stepping up interest in Sporting Lisbon defender Ruben Semedo…Newcastle United will step up their bid to sign Ross McCormack from Fulham over the coming weeks.

TRANSFER GOSSIP

James Rodriguez Football365
MADRID PUT JAMES UP FOR SALE?
It has not gone tremendously well for James Rodriguez at Real Madrid. He has scored just eight goals this season and started just 17 La Liga games – not great for a player who cost 80 million euros. Now El Confidencial claim that he is available for the same amount – though Madrid might want to re-think that asking price as the Colombian did not even get off the bench for the Champions League final. It’s hard to see Manchester United or any other club paying that kind of money.
Rodriguez said recently: “In football you never know but I want to continue here and my idea is to have many more years with the club. I am happy here. All the people close to me are happy too. It’s the ideal club and I want to be here.”
But do they want you, fella?

MAN UNITED LINKED WITH MKHITARYAN
He’s the best European player not at Euro 2016 this summer and according to reports in Italy, Manchester United are very interested in the Borussia Dortmund man who notched 18 goals and 20 assists in the 2015/16 campaign. Tottenham, Arsenal and Juventus have all been linked with the Armenian international who seemed close enough to a Liverpool move that we learned how to spell his name last year.

ZIDANE WANTS POGBA
Well of course he does; he probably saw that assist for Olivier Giroud’s goal on Monday night. Here’s what the Real Madrid manager has said: “He is a great player, every team would want to have him. But he is a Juventus player and we have to respect that.”
Of course, some elements of the British press would still have you believe that he could join Manchester United.

AND THE REST
Middlesbrough are eyeing a £6 million move for Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel as they plan for their first campaign back in the Premier League…Manchester United are keen on a move for Bordeaux’s teen sensation Adam Ounas…Chelsea are lining up a £20m bid for Roma’s Germany defender Antonio Rudiger…Hugo Lloris has turned down Tottenham’s new contract offer…Liverpool are in discussions over a £4million move for Anderlecht teenager Samuel Bastien…West Brom defender James Chester has suggested he could join Wales centre-back partner Ashley Williams at Swansea City…Manchester United are interested in signing 19-year-old French midfielder Adam Ounas from Bordeaux…Leicester City are close to making their first signings of the summer, with the arrival of Germany goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler and Spanish defender Luis Hernandez.

Koeman to discuss Everton job – report

Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman’s agent is reportedly heading to Merseyside to hold talks with Everton over their vacant manager’s position.
The Toffees are looking for a new boss after sacking Roberto Martinez last month and they are understood to have made Southampton manager Koeman their number one target.
Koeman was reportedly set to sign a new two-year deal with the Saints last week, but sources in the manager’s native Holland say his agent is travelling to England to hear what Everton have to offer.
De Telegraf published a story on Thursday morning that Everton were persisting with their interest in Koeman, with Voetball International reporting a similar line.
Dutch journalist Tim de Wit then tweeted that Koeman’s agent Rob Jansen is en route to Merseyside.
Koeman said after the final game of the season that talks would take place over his future at St Mary’s, where he felt he had got the most out of the resources available to him.
“What we did this season, it’s maybe more than the maximum we can do as a team, and a big compliment to the players.”
